Delayed present delivery

After completing the enormous todo list, went to deliver S’s birthday present. D and S have their wood garden fence installed and the place looks SO different and cosy. Still need to have the gates installed. S says she is identifying SECTIONS of the garden to focus on so that she does not get overwhelmed and not able to make defined progress. They are dealing with a sensitive social interaction issue that arose at the party on Saturday and both D and S are struggling with how to deal with a sensitive subject such as it is.

D has been reading this blog and was put out with the references to the “young and very educated people” comment about Paisley’s party vs “wine, ducks and candles” at S’s party. Well, I expected him to add a rude comment to the blog. Subtlety in understating the CLASS of S’s party is my intention … one can talk about the CS PhD, the Distinguished English teacher, the IP lawyer, and so on , but the “wine, ducks and candles” are so much more fun.
