Party on the 4th

N and C arrived here this afternoon with all the makings for food and while we waited for D and A to arrive, N and I flew our helicopters while C read her book on the front stoop.  N managed a successful 6 ft flight and holds the record for length of time in the air.  I am jealous.  After D and A arrived, we started nibbling on chips and salsa while C made the scalloped potatoes, N made the salad, and I cooked the ribeye steak.  D and A prepared the table outside and we had a great time chatting and eating.

We played cards inside and croquet outside and all showed our mean streaks. We ended the evening watching the fireworks display starting with Sugar House then moving on to the baseball stadium and finally at the U as well.  Mike and his family were perched on their roof next door and invited us over for a roof party but we declined.  Well he is a roofer and should know how the have fun on a roof in any situation.

I need to go to sleep because tomorrow is real vacation.
