Sunday happenings
It was supposed to be a quiet day but I decided to go and see a movie (Crash) which was OK (3/5) and the theater was EMPTY with about 10 people there. A T-Shirt and slip-slops were too light for the air-conditioning and I had to wiggle my toes to keep warm.
I went over to their place and C opened her presents … check the picture posts for the largest WRAPPED present I have yet seen.
I took C and N to dinner at the little Italian restaurant next to Broadway to have an early celebration of C’s birthday. C had her favorite food: Spagetti with meat sauce, a nice salad and some cheesecake for desert. N had a meat dish (of course) and chocolate cheesecake. I had the Alfredo and while we were perusing the desert menu, C asked me to please not order the soufflé. “Do you know how to make soufflé? Take this away because this is NOT soufflé” she quoted from a previous dinner at the New Yorker when I was disgusted at their chef’s ability. I ordered crème brule which is difficult to screw up. And they didn’t.
Today N took the day off and the two of them went up the mountains among other things and ended the evening at a fancy steak restaurant (I believe).
