Boring Wednesday

Finally I have had a rather quiet day. C called this morning and asked of she could come over and work here because their internet connection is giving them problems and the Comcast repair guy can only come over on Friday morning. So I had some company today but c was not very talkative because she was working real hard on her homework assigment with PhotoShop. We had lunch together and it was all a nice change for me.

I spent the day wandering aimlessly around, flying my heli, doing some homework on past salsa dance contests, putting the salsa movies on a server for M to ftp down, and checking my email. The main excitement was my new watch that arrived today. I was rather concerned ordering it on the internet but it arrived, it does not look like a fake, it works and it looks new. And it arrived EXACTLY on time. That’s enough of a miracle, no wonder that Discovery did not launch today as planned. Evidently a fuel gauge problem … Hell that seems to be a minor detail with such large fuel tanks on the Discovery. It seems that it is 95% fuel tank and I am sure that the astronauts are not going on any unplanned side trips. Maybe they are all men and will use up all the fuel if they get lost in space and refuse to ask for directions?

Jay leno says the real reason for the cancellation of the launch of Discovery was that NASA cannot afford the cost of the fuel.
